Swimming Pool Solar Heaters

No comments January 11th, 2010

Swimming pools can be very expensive to heat unless you use a swimming pool solar heater. When you use a solar heater you can heat your water for no more than your system costs you to install. You can often recoup your installation costs within the first few months if not less, depending on how expensive your system is. You can just pick up the phone and arrange for your local installer to come and fit you a system for quite a large sum, or you can quite easily install it yourself and save a considerable amount of money.

The swimming pool solar heater is made up of only a few parts. The water has to travel to the filter to get any debris out before entering the collector. Then a flow control valve helps guide the water into the collector. Next you have the solar collector for the pool water to flow through to become heated by the sun’s energy. A pool pump helps push the water into the filter and onto the collector, then the heated water flows back to the pool.

A swimming pool solar heater is a great small project to try out using solar energy . It is an extremely efficient way of using the sun’s energy besides being extremely cost effective. You will definitely get your money’s worth from this type of pool heater compared to traditional electric heating costs.
